<p class="" data-start="100" data-end="390">Thekkady is a nature lover’s haven, home to the famous <strong data-start="155" data-end="185">Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary</strong>, where you can spot elephants and other wildlife on a tranquil boat ride. Surrounded by spice plantations and lush forests, it's the perfect destination for adventure, trekking, and eco-tourism in Kerala.</p>

Kumarakom is a picturesque village located near Kottayam in the state of Kerala, India. Set on the serene banks of Vembanad Lake, the largest lake in Kerala, Kumarakom is best known for its lush backwaters, bird sanctuary, and tranquil houseboat experiences. Schedule Details

Day 1: Arrival Cochin - Munnar

Pickup from the Airport/ Railway Station and Proceed to Munnar. Enroute you can see; Cheyappra and Valara Waterfalls, Spices Garden, Tea Gardens, Tata Tea Museum (closed Mondays), and enjoy adventure activities at Dream Land Park. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

After breakfast visit Mattupetty Lake and Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake. Afternoon visit the Tea Museum and Blossom Garden. Meanwhile, in the evening You can enjoy a sunset view. Overnight in Hotel / Resort.

Day 3: Munnar - Thekkady

After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. By afternoon proceed to Periyar lake around which the sanctuary is built, for boating (at cost extra). Check-in at Hotel. You can recreate yourself by having Optional activities like Spice Plantation Tour, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking and Elephant ride (at extra cost). Overnight in Hotel / Resort

Day 4: Thekkady - Kumarakom

After breakfast, drive from Thekkady to Kumarakom (approx. 4 hours). Upon arrival, check into your resort or houseboat. Enjoy a traditional Kerala lunch and a peaceful afternoon houseboat cruise on the scenic Vembanad Lake. In the evening, relax with sunset views, an optional Ayurvedic massage, and a delicious local dinner. Overnight stay in Kumarakom.

Day 5: Kumarakom - Cochin Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Cochin (approx. 1.5–2 hours). If time permits, explore nearby attractions like Fort Kochi, Chinese fishing nets, or shop for souvenirs. Proceed to Cochin International Airport or railway station for your onward journey, marking the end of your Kerala trip.
